Coming Home

Monday, November 28th we got to leave the hospital and come home. 

On the ride home

It was a rainy day. Evan drove so slow!

 When we got home, my parents came out to the car to sit with Sullivan while Evan and I went to greet the girls (our dogs). After we got the girls settled down, we brought Sullivan in the house.

Emmi was so curious about Sullivan! Lizzie really didn't seem to even notice him! She just wanted to show us her new green toy!

Great grandmama Sullivan gave us some overalls that great granddaddy Sullivan wore when he was a baby. We put the overalls on Sullivan. He wasn't very happy about it, but we snapped a couple of pictures.

 Lizzie finally noticed that we brought home a baby! She didn't leave his side for the rest of the day :) Emmi was over Sullivan after the first 10 minutes, which we figured she would be.

My parents left and we were on our own! I don't know what we thought it would be like, but we weren't prepared for the first night at home. Sullivan didn't sleep at all! We tried putting him in the bassinet in our room... he cried and cried. We tried putting him in his crib... he cried and cried. We tried holding him all night long... ding ding ding, we have a winner! Haha, no sleep for us!
